It’s that time of year again – Tralee Magic team trials are underway as we get set for another exciting season of basketball.
Our coaches are looking forward to welcoming players across all age groups, from U11 right up to senior level. Trials give every player a chance to showcase their skills, effort, and commitment – and we can’t wait to see the energy and talent on display.

Boys Trials
- U11/12 Boys – TBC, Mounthawk School Gym
- U14 Boys – TBC, Mounthawk School Gym
- U16 & U18 Boys – Thursday 21st August, 6.30–8.15pm, Mounthawk School Gym
- Division 1 Men – TBC, Mounthawk School Gym
👉 Please note: We won’t be running trials for U12/U14 boys. Instead, everyone will return to training together, with coaches assessing and selecting teams during sessions. Scrimmages will continue this Monday in CBS for U12/U14 boys, with training moving back to Mounthawk from Monday 25th (time to be confirmed).
Girls Trials
- U11/12 Girls – Tuesday 26th August, 6pm & Tuesday 2nd September, 6pm (Mounthawk)
- U14 Girls – Wednesday 20th August, 7pm (CBS The Green) & Monday 25th August, 6pm (Mounthawk)
- U16 Girls – Friday 22nd August, 7pm & Monday 25th August, 7pm (Mounthawk)
- U18 / Div 3 Ladies – Monday 25th August, 8pm (Mounthawk)

While we aim to place every child on a team, the growth of the club means that we need new coaches this year. We are asking any parents, relatives, or past players with an interest in coaching to please get in touch. New coaches will be fully supported with guidance, training, and resources.
