Group B Opponents
Magic are in Group B, facing three excellent sides:
Templeogue (Dublin) – A club with a proud tradition, Templeogue are well-known for their physicality and never-say-die attitude. They reached a national final last season and will bring plenty of big-game experience to the floor.
Liffey Celtics (Kildare) – Always strong at underage level, Liffey have produced some of Ireland’s most exciting young players in recent years. They play a fast, skilful style that will be a real test.
Brunell (Cork) – Cork basketball is thriving, and Brunell are right at the heart of it. With their senior women’s side among the best in the country, their underage teams carry that same competitive edge and depth.

Looking Ahead – A Big Year for Our U18s
This weekend is just the start of what promises to be a huge season for our U18 girls. With the launch of the inaugural Basketball Ireland U18 National League, the team will be on the road regularly, meeting strong opposition and learning with every game. The tournament in Dublin is the perfect preparation – a chance to test themselves early, build chemistry, and gain valuable experience before league action begins.
It’s going to be a busy year, but the players won’t be doing it alone. Behind them are committed coaches, parents making the long trips possible, and a club that’s proud to see its young athletes competing on a national stage. That support network is a big part of what makes seasons like this possible – and what makes the journey worthwhile.
We’re proud of our U18 girls as they take to the court this weekend and as they prepare for an exciting season ahead. Best of luck in Dublin – play hard, play smart, and enjoy every moment. Go Magic!
