Tralee Magic Basketball Club is bursting with pride as three of our young players – Shea and Wayne (both U16), and Mya (U14) – have earned their spots in Basketball Ireland’s Regional Academies. Shea and Wayne have been selected for the U15 Munster Academy, while Mya will join the U14 South West Academy. These selections are a testament to their talent, hard work, and dedication on and off the court. We extend our warmest congratulations to all three on this fantastic achievement!
A Tribute to Hard Work and Commitment
This achievement didn’t happen overnight. Shea, Wayne, and Mya have put in countless hours in the gym with Tralee Magic. Under the guidance of our volunteer coaches and the support of their families, each of these players has grown from an enthusiastic beginner into a standout player who leads by example. Whether it’s repetitive shooting drills or extra practice after school, they have consistently gone the extra mile. Their commitment, teamwork, and positive attitude embody the very spirit of our club – a club that prides itself on nurturing both great players and great people.
Their teammates and coaches speak of Shea’s leadership, Wayne’s quiet dertmination, and Mya’s energy on the court. It seems like only yesterday they were dribbling a ball for the first time at a Saturday academy session, and now they’re preparing to represent the region at the highest level for their age. Everyone in the Tralee Magic family is excited and proud to see them reach this milestone. They’ve shown that with passion and perseverance, Magic truly happens.
Community Pride and Celebration
Moments like these remind us why we love being a community club. As a club founded and run by dedicated volunteers, nothing makes us prouder than seeing our home-grown kids shine. It’s not just about the individual accolades; it’s about the entire Magic community coming together to support and uplift each other.
Once again, congratulations to Shea, Wayne, and Mya on your well-deserved selections! Your Tralee Magic family is incredibly proud of you. Keep working hard, keep enjoying the game. We have no doubt that you will continue to make Magic happen wherever you go. Well done!
