Our U12 Girls Div 3 played their fourth league game last night in CBS, with all 15 girls turning up ready to take on Rathmore Ravens.

Magic came out flying in the first quarter and built a 12–4 lead. The second quarter was another great showcase of what they’ve been working on in training – strong defence, smart passing and great spacing – and they held Rathmore scoreless to go in at half time 22–4 ahead.

The third quarter swung the other way as Rathmore found their rhythm and kept Magic off the scoreboard, cutting the gap to 22–13. It certainly wasn’t for lack of effort from our girls; they created plenty of chances but the ball just wouldn’t drop.

The final quarter was tense, with Rathmore continuing to apply pressure. Our girls dug deep, kept attacking the basket and showed real determination right to the buzzer. They added one more basket, with Rathmore scoring two, to see the game out.

Final score: Tralee Magic 24 – 17 Rathmore Ravens.
